The heat hasn’t been extreme or even far above normal. But for a variety of reasons, it appears some people are trying too hard to do too much too fast.
This is the time of year when Creve Coeur Park is filled with joggers, roller-bladers and runners. Many of them are there almost every day and are already in good physical condition. But, there is also a large group of folks for whom these warm early summer days offer the chance to jump start an otherwise dormant workout routine.
Just yesterday, emergency help had to be called to the park when a woman collapsed while riding a bike.
